NADP Dental Informatics Manager Brian Flynn is in Jacksonville, Florida this week for the Standing Meeting of the Accredited Standards Committee X12 that develops global electronic data interchange (EDI) standards for many industries, including healthcare. Flynn is vice-chair of the X12 Dental Caucus, which monitors the development of EDI standards and advocates for workable solutions that satisfy the unique business requirements for dental transactions. NADP is a voting member of X12 and the Code Maintenance Committee, which approves changes/additions to the Claim Adjustment Reason Codes (CARC) and Remittance Advice Remark Codes (RARC) lists.
