As the voice of the dental benefits industry, NADP continues to carry your message to industry stakeholders and the media. Following are highlights from this month's meetings and interviews.

Stakeholders Meeting
NADP Executive Director Evelyn F. Ireland, CAE traveled to Boston Sept. 12 for an industry stakeholders meeting hosted by DentaQuest to discuss the goals and intention of health care reform as it relates to the dental benefits industry.  Participants include consumer groups and carriers interested in advancing oral health and seeking workable solutions to improve consumer access to care.

Dr. Craig Amundson, HealthPartners, and Deputy Executive Director Timothy L. Brown were part of the groundbreaking team that adopted the first ever measures for dental and dental benefits industry at the recent Dental Quality Alliance meeting July 18-19 in Chicago.

Hill Visits
Acting as your representative, a team of dedicated lobbyists, members and Executive Director Evelyn F. Ireland, CAE traveled to Washington. D.C.  July 24-25 to discuss a variety of health care reform issues.

Medscape Medical News - NADP Executive Director Evelyn F. Ireland, CAE, was quoted in Laird Harrison's article, Advocates Protest Affordable Care Act Dental Regulations.  The article explored estimates about the number of people who will be covered under ACA.
