Source Media Conference/Webinars
NADP Board Vice-Chair Chris Swanker, Guardian Life Insurance, and Executive Director Evelyn Ireland Executive Director Evelyn Ireland presented as part of an April 30 Roundtable discussion sponsored by Guardian during the Source Media Conference in New York. Panelists addressed brokers' questions about health care reform and its impact on dental benefits. NADP Director of Government Relations Kris Hathaway also presented two webinars for Source Media, one for brokers and the other for employers. Source Media is the publisher of Employee Benefit News and Employee Benefit Advisor.

WEDI National Conference
NADP Dental Informatics Manager Brian Flynn represented NADP plan and affiliate members by sharing their unique challenges during the Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI) National Conference May 12-16 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Brian joined with more than 300 health care industry professionals to discuss concerns regarding implementation of the Affordable Care Act as it relates to electronic data interchange standards.
National Conference of State Legislators
NADP State Affairs Manager Eme Augustini represented the dental benefits industry at the National Conference of State Legislators (NCSL) Spring Forum in Denver on May 4. She attended "Special Briefings: Countdown to Health Reform" session along with the NCSL Task Force meeting on health care reform.
AADC Annual Workshop
NADP Deputy Executive Director Timothy L. Brown traveled to Orlando, Florida where he represented NADP members at the American Association of Dental Consultants Annual Workshop May 14- 17 in Orlando, Florida.
GUAA Annual Conference
At the Group Underwriters Association of America Annual Conference, NADP Executive Director Evelyn Ireland presented a May 20 workshop regarding the impact of health care reform on dental benefits.
