NADP Informatics Manager Brian Flynn represented the dental benefits industry at the X12, Code Maintenance Committee and Dental Caucus meetings June 1-5 in New Orleans, Louisiana. X12, chartered by the American National Standards Institute, develops and maintains standards, which drive business processes globally. As your representative, NADP monitors developments of healthcare standards to ensure the unique needs of the dental industry are met.
CADP
On June 12 NADP member Jeff Album, Delta Dental of California, Executive Director Evelyn F. Ireland, CAE and Michael Lewan, The Lewan Company, presented "Dental On and Off State Exchanges: Where's the Next Battlefront?" at the California Association of Dental Plan (CADP) Annual Conference in San Diego. Executive Director Evelyn Ireland also presented an overview of the results of NADP's loss ratio survey for CA and explained the proposal presented to CDA and Assemblywoman Skinner on AB1962.
NAHU
Because the broker community outreach remains a high a priority, NADP Director of Research Jerry Berggren and Director of Membership and Communications Rene Chapin will participate in the National Association of Health Underwriters Trade Show in Scottsdale, Arizona June 29-July 1. NADP promoted the value of dental benefits and increased brand awareness for the association during this event.
