NADP staff and volunteers advanced the dental benefits industry in April by representing your interests with key audiences including the American Dental Association (ADA) and U.S. National Oral Health Alliance. (U.S. NOHA)

ADA Council on Dental Benefit Programs
NADP Board Members and staff met with leadership from the ADA Council on Dental Benefit Programs to discuss areas of mutual interest and concern. Discount Dental Plan Summit
NADP Director of Government Relations Kris Hathaway will represent NADP members at Fourth Annual Discount Dental Plan Summit, hosted by DentalPlans.com, from April 30-May 2 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
IHTSDO
NADP Deputy Executive Director Timothy L. Brown will share the dental benefits industry perspective during the International Health Terminology Standards Development Organisation (IHTSDO) meeting April 27-30 in Copenhagen, Denmark. IHTSDO develops, maintains, promotes and enables the uptake and correct use of its terminology products in health systems, services and products around the world. IHTSDO owns and administers the rights to SNOMED CT, the most comprehensive, multilingual clinical healthcare terminology in the world.
National Oral Health Conference
On April 29, NADP Executive Director Evelyn F. Ireland, CAE, presented on the impact of the Affordable Care Act on dental plans at the National Oral Health Conference in Fort Worth, Texas. The conference is the 15th joint meeting of the Association of State & Territorial Dental Directors (ASTDD) and the American Association of Public Health Dentistry (AAPHD). The meeting brings together over 700 leaders in dental public health from across the nation.
